Prof. Dr. Andreas Junge简介:
Prof. Dr. Andreas Junge is currently vice-dean and full professor for Applied Geophysics at the faculty of Geosciences and Geography of the Goethe University, Frankfurt am Main, Germany. He finished his PhD in 1986 and after a lecturer position in Göttingen he spent a year as an EU research fellow at the University of Edinburgh in 1994. Prof. Junge was appointed full professor at Frankfurt University in 1995. He is also currently guest-professor at China University Of Geosciences Wuhan.
Prof. Junge has focused on studies of the investigation of the electrical properties of the Earth's subsurface from the upper down to the Earth's mantle. His research fields cover MT, DC resistivity, IP, GPR, time series analysis, modelling and interpretation.
Prof. Junge is member of the DGG, SEG and AGU. Among many academic positions he held the Chair of the IAGA Working Group I2 on Electromagnetic Induction in the Earth from 2004-2008 and he was dean of faculty at Frankfurt University from 2011-2014.
